Complex Cases
Dr. Hodge has spent much of his career on handling complex orthopedic cases beginning with his fellowship in ‘Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery’ at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston. Following this, he practiced as an Associate Professor at MGH Institute as well as the New England Baptist Hospital also in Boston, each being one of the most respected hospitals world-wide in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Hodge also worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Bio-engineering working on developing solutions to complex bone and joint problems. He now teaches and demonstrates these technical solutions at meetings and surgeries around the world.
New Techniques
Dr Hodge is available to demonstrate the use of new surgical products and techniques through a variety of venues, including one-on-one at a surgeon’s hospital, as well as local and regional cadaver workshops. He also will demonstrate and teach these new surgical ‘tricks’ at local, regional and national meetings in various countries with appropriate translation.
Fellowship Director
Dr. Hodge did his fellowship in ‘Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery’ at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston. Following this, he practiced at MGH and worked up to an Associate Professor at MGH where he co-directed the Adult Reconstructive Fellows for a decade. Dr. Hodge also exposed fellows to his research at MIT’s Newman Lab for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation working on developing solutions for faster recoveries from complex bone and joint surgeries. After moving to Florida, Dr Hodge continued to train fellows in his busy practice at Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute with his research and implant retrieval lab. Dr Hodge continues to teach and support fellowship education in his current practice in SW Florida.
