Dr. Hodge is involved with research and education foundations to study how injuries occur and how to prevent them. He speaks at meetings and community outreach events to educate the populations that can most be benefited.
The Institute of Mobility and Longevity is a 501(c)(3), public non-profit orthopedic research & education foundation established in Boston by Dr Hodge in 1987 to support advancement of orthopedic science and accelerating new treatments and technologies for patients. As Founder and Chairman, Dr Hodge has selected and maintained an international board of renown scientist, bioengineers and physicians who have guided the direction of IML over the past 30+ years. He also has been a primary fund raiser and manages the annual budget averaging $500,000/year. In Florida, currently Dr Hodge is a firsthand manager of engineers, physical therapist, nurses, and medical students who are who are helping with educational services as well as measuring results of ongoing studies for orthopedic research.
